Need assistance with email, campus portal, Canvas, and/or other class related software? We're here to help.
Computer Tutoring is available In-Person and online by appointment during our LRC open hours.

Most Common Questions
Computer Tutors provide computer tutoring as needed learning and technical support to students who have questions using class related software.
We help students needing assistance with fundamental computer skills like:
- Understanding computer concepts
- Logging in and out of computers and software
- Opening and quitting software programs
- Holding the mouse
- Right / Left Click
- Contextual menus
- Opening files
- Uploading and downloading files
- Converting files
- Saving files
- Selecting the correct printer
- Printing files
Computer Tutors also assist students with questions related to class related software.
We help students who need assistance accessing and using:
- Campus Portal My SBCC
- Two Factor Authentication
- Canvas Course Shell / Portal
- Canvas email
- Web browsers
- Google Drive / Apps
- Microsoft Office/365
- TurnitIn.com
- VDI or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
- Lockdown browser (basic trouble shooting only)
We can also help students access SBCC campus resources.
We help students who require assistance or need troubleshooting support with the following:
- Connecting to SBCC Wifi
- Lab computers/hardware, Chromebooks, iPads
- Accessing VM View Virtual Desktop software on lab machines and portiable laptops / devices
